Sinonazal bölge anatomik varyasyonlarının bilgisayarlı tomografi ile 3 planda (koronal, aksiyal, sagital) değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Amaç:
Çalışmamızda
sinonazal bölge anatomik varyasyonlarının bilgisayarlı tomografi ile 3 planda
(koronal, aksiyal, sagital) değerlendirilmesini amaçladık.

Gereç
ve Yöntem:
Kırıkkale
Üniversitesi Hastanesinde 1 eylül  2017 –
30 aralık 2017 tarihleri arasında multislice (Philips) 64 kesitli BT ile
çekilen paranazal BT görüntüleri retrospektif olarak incelendi.

Bulgular:
İki yüz sekiz paranazal sinüs BT görüntüleri incelendi.
Bunların 105 erkek (yaş ortalaması 34,78-SD 14,47), 103 kadın (yaş ortalaması
35,16-SD 14,74)’dı. Olguların %76’sında Agger nasi hücresi mevcut olup en sık
rastlanan varyasyon idi. Daha sonra sırası ile %68,3 ile septal deviasyon (sağ
%25,5, sol %29, ve bilateral %13) ve %40,9 ile konka bülloza  (sağ %11,1, sol %10,6 ve bilateral %19,2)
izlendi. En az görülen varyasyonlar ise posterior klinoid pnömatizasyonu (%1,9)
ile krista galli pnömatizasyonu (%1.9)’uydu.









Sonuç:
En
sık varyasyon agger nasi hücreleri iken posterior klinoid pnömatizasyonu ile krista galli
pnömotizasyonu en az görülmektedir. Çalışmamız 
paranazal varyasyonların sıklığı hakkında literatüre katkı
sağlayacaktır. Ayrıca literatürde yapılan çalışmalardan farklı olarak anatomik
varyasyonlar 3 planda incelenmiş olup bu incelemenin daha değerli olacağı
kanaatindeyiz.

Evaluation of anatomical variations of sinonasal region by computed tomography at 3 planes (coronal, axial, sagittal)

Abstract

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the anatomic
variations of the sinonasal region by CT with three planes (coronal, axial,
sagittal).

Material and Method: Paranasal CT images were obtained
retrospectively at Kırıkkale University Hospital between September 1, 2017 and
December 30, 2017, using multislice (Philips) 64-section CT.

Results: A total number of 208 paranasal sinus CT
images were analyzed. These were 105 males (mean age 34.78-SD 14.47) and 103
females (mean age 35.16-SD 14.74). In 76% of cases, agger nasi cell was the
most common variation. Septal deviation (right 25.5%, left 29.8% and bilateral
13%) and concha bullosa (right 11.1%, left 10.6% and bilateral 19.2%) were
observed with 68.3% and 40.9% respectively. The least common variations were
posterior clinoid pneumatization (1.9%) and crysta galli pneumatization (1.9%).







Conclusion: Our
study will contribute to the literature about the frequency variations of the
paranasal sinuses. Furthermore, unlike the studies in the literature,
anatomical variations observed in three planes of CT images which we believe
that this technique is more effective to detect variations.
