Gidya Uygulamalarının Vertisol Toprağın Bazı Fiziksel Özellikleri ve Mürdümük Veriminde Meydana Getirdiği Değişimler

Abstract

Tarımsal verimliliği arttırmak amacı ile yoğun şekilde kullanılan yapay girdiler, toprakların fiziksel, kimyasal ve biyolojik özelliklerinin bozulmasına neden olarak tarımsal ekosistemleri tehdit etmektedir. Toprağın sürdürülebilir kullanımını, ürün kalitesini ve insan sağlığını korumak için toprak organik maddesinin artırılması önemlidir. Bu çalışmada, bir Vertisol toprağa uygulanan kompostlanmış ve kompostlanmamış gidyanın mürdümük bitkisinin verimi ve bazı toprak fiziksel özellikleri üzerine etkisi araştırılmıştır. Ayrıca ölçülen toprak fiziksel özelliklerinin bitki kuru maddesi ile ilişkileri temel bileşen analizi ile incelenmiştir. Saksılarda yürütülen deneme tesadüf parselleri deneme deseninde üç tekerrürlü olarak kurgulanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre, gidya ve gidya kompostu mürdümük bitkisinin kuru madde miktarını kontrole göre artırmıştır. Bitki kuru madde miktarındaki en yüksek değerler kompostlanmış gidya uygulanan saksılarda elde edilmiştir. Gidya ve kompostunun toprağın Atterberg limitleri, rölatif saturasyon ve toplam porozite özelliklerinde meydana getirdiği değişimler zamana bağlı olarak farklılık göstermiş ve bu farklılıklar istatistiksel olarak değişik seviyelerde önemli bulunmuştur. Öte yandan gidya ve gidya kompostunun toprağın hacimsel su içeriği, kesme direnci ve penetrasyon direnci üzerine etki etmediği görülmüştür. Bazı toprak özellikleri ile bitki kuru maddesi arasında kuvvetli ilişkiler tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak gidyanın kompostlandıktan sonra tarım topraklarına uygulanmasının daha faydalı olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
