Analysis of Hospital Activities Sectors’ Return on Assets and Return on Equity Performance: A Research on Hospital Activities Sector Company Accounts
Abstract
The main purpose of this study is to investigate the return on assets and return on equity performance of Hospital Services Sector. In this context financial statements of hospital services sector were investigated for the years 2012, 2013 and 2014 with the help of Central Bank of Republic of Turkey (CBRT) Company Accounts by using of Du Pont Analysis Technique. Because of analysis of the sector's return on assets and return on equity was positive in 2012 and 2014; it was found that negative value in 2013. Also it is determined that the sector's costs and expenses are high, asset turnover is not at the desired level and assets of the sector mostly financed by liabilities in this context financial risk is very high.
Hastane Hizmetleri Sektörünün Aktif ve Özsermaye Karlılık Performansının Analizi: Hastane Hizmetleri Sektör Bilançolarında Bir Araştırma
Abstract
Bu çalışmanın temel amacı Hastane Hizmetleri Sektörünün aktif ve özsermaye karlılık performansının değerlendirilmesidir. Bu amaçla Türkiye Cumhuriyet Merkez Bankası’nın (TCMB) yayımladığı sektör bilançoları yardımıyla “Hastane Hizmetleri Sektörü’nün 2012, 2013 ve 2014 yılları arasındaki finansal tabloları DuPont finansal analiz tekniğiyle incelenmiştir. Analiz neticesinde sektörün 2012 ve 2014 yıllarında aktif ve özsermaye karlılıklarının pozitif olduğu 2013 yılında ise negatif gerçekleştiği saptanmıştır. Yine sektörün maliyet ve gider kalemlerinin yüksek olduğu, aktif devir hızının istenilen düzeyde olmadığı ve sektörün aktif yatırımlarını daha fazla yabancı kaynakla finanse ettiği ve bu bağlamda finansal riskinin yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir.
