Abstract
Imatinib is a chemotherapy drug which is known to be associated skin eruptions commonly. Maculopapular, erythematous eruptions, edema and especially peri-orbital edema are
the most common skin eruptions reported with imatinib. Pityriasiform eruptions, hypopigmentation, lichenoid reactions, pityriasis rosea, psoriasis, porphyria cutanea tarda, erythema
nodosum are other reactions seen with imatinib less commonly. A 57-year-old male patient presented to dermatology outpatient clinic with an itchy rash all over his body. He
was on medication with imatinib for gastrointestinal stromal tumor. He had round erythematous scaly plaques covering his body and extensor sides of all extremities. Histopathologic
examination of a biopsy sample revealed fi ndings compatible with pityriasis rosea. A diagnosis of pityriaisform eruption associated with imatinib was made. We aimed to present this
case for exhibiting a rather rare reported skin reaction with imatinib, which is known to be related with particular skin reactions commonly.

Abstract
İmatinib,kutanöz yan etkilere sıklıkla yol açan bir kemoterapi ajanıdır. Kutanöz yan etki olarak en sık makülopapüler, eritematöz erupsiyonlar, ödem, özellikle peri orbital ödem
görülmektedir. Pitriaziform erupsiyonlar; hipopigmentasyon, likenoid reaksiyonlar, pitiriazis rosea, psoriasis, porfi riya kutanea tarda, eritema nodosum gibi döküntüler ise bu ilaca
bağlı daha seyrek görülen reaksiyonlardır. 57 yaşında erkek hasta gastrointestinal stromal tümör tanısıyla imatinib almaktayken tüm vücuduna yayılan kaşıntılı döküntüler nedeniyle
polikliniğimize başvurdu. Üst ve alt tüm ekstremitelerin ekstensör yüzlerinde ve gövdede yerleşmiş eritemli skuamlı oval plakları gözlenen hastanın lezyonlarının birinden alınan
biyopsi örneğinin histopatolojik bulguları pitiriyazis rosea ile uyumlu bulundu. Başka herhangi bir ilaç kullanımı öyküsü olmayan hastanın döküntülerine imatinibe bağlı pitiriaziform
erupsiyon tanısı koyuldu. Bu olguyu sık deri döküntüsüne neden olan bir ajan olan imatinibin nispeten nadir görülen bir deri reaksiyonu tipini sergilemesi nedeniyle sunmayı
amaçladık.
