Abstract
İstilacı karakteri taşıyan farklı canlı grupları; ekosistemleri, biyolojik çeşitliliği, çevreyi, hayvan/insan sağlığını ve ekonomiyi tehdit eder konumdadır. Hatta biyolojik istilalar, habitatların tahrip edilmesi ve küresel iklim değişikliğiyle birlikte biyolojik çeşitlilik erozyonuna neden olan en büyük tehditlerden biri olarak kabul edilmektedir.İstilacı Yabancı Türlerin (İYT) bu çok boyutlu etkileri bir bütün olarak ele alındığında İstilacı Yabancı Bitki (İYB) türlerinin birincil öneme sahip olduğu görülecektir. Zira,İYB taşındıkları alanda bulunan yerli bitki türlerin yerini alarak bir bütün olarak ekosistemi (ve insan yaşamını) etkileyebilmektedir. Nitekim dünya genelinde en fazla probleme neden olan 100 İYT'den 32'si İYB'dir. İYB'lerin biyolojik çeşitlilik, farklı ekosistemlerin yapısı ve işleyişi, tarım (bitkisel ve hayvansal üretim) ile insan sağlığı ve sosyal hayat üzerine etkileri kısaca ele alınmış, farklı ülkelerde İYB'lerin idaresi için yürütülen çalışmaların ekonomik maliyetine ilişkin bilgi verilmiştir. Bu amaçla İYB'lerin etkilerine ilişkin olarak detaylı literatür taraması yapılmış ve farklı veritabanları [Global Invasive Species Database (GISD), International Union of Conservation of Nature (IUCN) ve Delivering Invasive Alien Species Inventories in Europe (DIASIE)] gözden geçirilmiştir. Bu veri tabanları incelenerek dünyanın farklı bölgelerinde sorun oluşturan toplam İYB sayıları belirlenmiş ve veriler grafikler halinde sunulmuştur.Ayrıca İYB'lerin etkileri dört ana başlık altında özetlenerek ele alınmıştır. İlk bölümde genel olarak İYB'lerin ekonomik etkilerine değinilmiş, ikinci bölümde ise İYB'lerin ekosistemlerin işleyişi, yapısı ve biyolojik çeşitliliğe etkileri örnekler verilerek açıklanmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde İYB'ler ve polenlerinin insan sağlığına ve sosyal hayata etkileri, dördüncü bölümde ise tarıma etkileri yönüyle, rekabet ve allelopati nedeniyle oluşturdukları verim ve kalite kayıpları, kontrol için oluşan ilave maliyetler, zararlı etmenlere ara konukçuluk yapmaları, herbisitlere direnç geliştirmeleri vb konular ele alınmıştır
Abstract
Different living organisms having invasive characteristics pose severe threats to ecosystems, biodiversity, environment, human and animal health and economy. Moreover, biological invasions are being considered as the greatest threat to biodiversity after climate change and habitat defragmentation. Among invasive species, plants are of prime importance as these pose multidimensional impacts. Invasive plants replace the established species from their natural habitats, thus disturbing all the processes from the ecosystem to the human life. Here I discussed the impacts of different invasive plants listed in the 100 most worst invasive species of the world. In economic impacts, the economic costs of early detection, eradication and management, losses in terms of human health and social life of different invasive plants in different countries are given. To accomplish the task extensive literature search has been done from different database providing the information about invasive species. The top searched database were Global Invasive Species Database (GISD), International Union of Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and Delivering Invasive Alien Species Inventories in Europe (DIASIE). I have collected the data about the total number of alien species and plants present in different parts of the world from these different databases. The data has been presented in graphical form. In biodiversity impacts we have tried to give some practical examples of the plant which have been replacing the native species. The agricultural impacts are described in terms of loss of crop production, management costs of invasive plants, allelopathic effects and herbicide resistance of invasive plants. Different human health impacts such as allergies and vectors are also given in human health impacts
