1. Kocaeli University Journal of Social Sciences is a peer-reviewed journal published twice a year in printed and electronic media, in June and December. The journal is sent to libraries and index institutions where it is scanned within one month from the date of publication.
2. In the journal addressing the social sciences; scientific articles, book introductions, and criticism and case studies in fields such as economics, business administration, finance, labor economics, international relations, public administration and political science, econometrics, law, communication, tourism, history, philosophy, sociology, linguistics, literature are published.
3. In the manuscripts sent to the journal, the condition that they have not been published before is required. Papers presented at a scientific meeting may be accepted provided that this condition is specified.
4. The copyright of the manuscripts accepted for publication is deemed to have been transferred to Kocaeli University Journal of Social Sciences. The responsibility of the opinions in the manuscripts belongs to the authors. The text and photos can be quoted by showing the source.
5. The manuscripts sent for publication are examined by the Editorial Board in terms of shape and content. The manuscripts decided to be published are sent to at least two referees. The authors are not informed about the identities of the referees who evaluated the manuscript, and the referees are not informed as to who the submitted article belongs. Referee reports are confidential and kept for three years. Manuscripts that receive negative opinions from two referees are not published and are not returned to their authors.
6. In case of a clean opinion from both referees to whom the manuscript was sent, the article is put in the queue for publication. If two referees give different opinions, the manuscript is sent to a third referee; According to the response of the third referee, the Editorial Board makes its final decision. In case the referees give their opinion in the direction of correction, the author(s) are requested to complete the necessary corrections within one month at the latest. The authors fulfill the criticism and suggestions of the referee and the Editorial Board; If there are issues that they do not agree with, they can state them together with their reasons. Manuscripts that are decided to be corrected are not published unless they are corrected.
7. No copyright is paid to the authors for the manuscripts deemed suitable for publication. The article evaluation process and results can be viewed on the journal's general network.
8. For each manuscript sent with a request for publication; TL 200.00 is requested to cover the expenses in the evaluation process (physical printing, typesetting, etc.).
